this is us

Andrea: Me, myself, and I – the author of this mess. This former full-time stay at home mom returned to her teaching career in 2017! I am now a middle school English teacher, as well as the drama/theatre sponsor for the district. I spend my days running from work to working on my Master’s to chasing my kids in their latest activities. Most of the time I feel like I’m going crazy. I find solace in kayaking, hiking, photography, scrapbooking, reading, and playing Animal Crossing in my *ahem* spare time.

John: My Hubby Dearest of 27 years. At the end of 2022, he became owner of Ozark Mountain Screen Printing. He enjoys kayaking, hiking, NFL football, MLB baseball, and challenging the family to a serious(?) game of Wii Sports.

B: Our oldest son. Eagle Scout. When he’s not busy with work, he’s into adventures with his family, gaming, and NBA basketball.

L: Our first daughter-in-love. Married to B. Loves to cook, scrapbook, go on family adventures, and is mom extraordinaire to the littles, also known as our “babygrands”.

C: Our only daughter. Passed away at five months of age on April 8, 2000. She had Trisomy 18, a rare chromosome disorder. She enjoyed the good things in life: smooches, “snoogies”, and her pink blanket… Fuzzy.

J: Our middle son. Eagle Scout. Just received his associate’s degree and is now working fulltime. Loves gaming, hanging with his girlfriend and friends, and NBA basketball.

M: Our second daughter-in-love. Girlfriend of J. Loves crafting, scrapbooking, hanging out with J, and going on crazy family adventures.

Z: Our youngest son. Middle school student. Loves Star Wars and Marvel, as well as basketball and video games. Enjoys adventures in the great outdoors, but absolutely hates bugs!

LF: BabyGrand #1. He’s wildly independent and keeps us on our toes. He loves puzzles, books, and dancing to his favorite shows.

LK: BabyGrand #2. She’s our little cuddle bug and has the cutest giggle ever. She loves to run, climb, and have dance parties on the dining room table.

JJ: BabyGrand #3. He’s tiny and new and we can’t wait to see all the things he learns to do!

As a family, we enjoy family game nights, family movie nights, and family vacations to Disney, the beach, or anywhere the car can take us. We like to do outdoorsy things, such as kayaking, hiking, swimming, mini golf, and sports. We have a goal of visiting all 50 states together as a family, which is getting more difficult as the boys are growing and starting families of their own. We are also active in community theatre, where you can often see one or more of us on stage each time there’s a production in the making.

I love nothing more than spending time with my family. They are my whole entire world… and then some!
