eminence to two rivers

Today we participated in our first ever Stream Team river cleanup. For someone as competitive and OCD as I can be, this was an experience for everyone who was with me.

My big find that I couldn’t fit on my kayak.
This also wouldn’t fit on my kayak…
plus I wasn’t strong enough to lift it anyway.
And this might be in poison ivy central,
so I let it lay.

I did load a lot of stuff on my kayak though. At one point John told me to just stop, because I was lagging too far behind.

I crossed two sets of rapids and did some climbing to snag the inner tube.

It was a good day – although, any day on the river is a good day!

Our first official float on the Current River – and we love it! This is a 16 mile float that begins on the Jack’s Fork and ends on the Current.

Love my river views!

Our friends, Jason and Juliet, took us out for this first float of 2021. I think I’m gonna like it here!

Peace and beauty

I’m already looking forward to more kayaking adventures this year!
